OUR SUCCESS STORIES
"4RF has sales staff all over the world; we needed a system that's available worldwide 24 hours a day. Enabling helped with the challenges this brings."
Daniel Bowbyes - IT Manager, 4RF Communications Limited
4RF Communications provides wireless communication solutions that enable end-users to bypass the constraints of existing wired networks. Within two years the company captured a significant share of their target market and had rapidly expanded their business. Their success however caused several major problems in their day to day operations resulted in a rapid increase in staff from 16 to 48 which put huge pressure on their accounting software infrastructure. Problems initially surfaced when additional staff in new site locations weren't able to access the core database due to time zone restrictions. 4RF also needed a fully integrated multi-currency system which could be seamlessly expanded to support the business' growing financial requirements.
Issues such as the co-ordination of manufacturing aspects, the constant turnover of stock on hand, the need to plan for stock requirements, and the ability to schedule work for on-time delivery showed that their accounting systems, which had been adequate at the start-up phase, were not going to cope.
4RF can now expand their system to cover new demands as they arise, and are moving to Sage 300 ERP web interfaces for all staff. This will enable them to access most their core systems over their extranet. 4RF have also achieved their goal of having a fully web-enabled financial system which allows its staff to access it from anywhere in the world. The accounting system is now available to as many users as required and can expand with the growth of the company.Visit website Download Case Study
“Using Enabling and by working through a more structured process of issue identification and resolution, we have created a very stable platform from a business point of view, and one that works particularly well for us.”
Frank Fuller - National Operations Manager, Fashion Biz
In an industry not always known for its use of information technology, Fashion Biz stands out. Over the past few years it has used technology to streamline business operations, creating an easy, accurate and paperless business process for clients.
Frank Fuller, National Operations Manager at Fashion Biz explains, “The only piece of paper we now print is the invoice at the end of the process. We take orders in any format, via web, fax or email. The orders are processed through our financial system which interfaces to our other software systems. From the original point of data entry, no other data input is required.” The heart of the process is the Sage 300 financial system. Fashion Biz has been using the software since the company’s inception and supported by Enabling for some years. Four years ago Fashion Biz conducted a comprehensive review of its business needs. Given the company’s growth, management wanted to check whether Sage 300 was still the most appropriate solution, and ensuring their changing needs were able to be satisfied.
Using Sage 300 ERP has allowed Fashion Biz to expand internationally, substantially increase efficiency using fewer staff, alongside a better customer service experience, using a strong and stable business system that has the flexibility to grow with their requirements, and proven in use.Visit website Download Case Study
“Enabling handled implementation and customisation with a wide variety of new features particularly including forecasting. I don’t know if we would have achieved what we did with anyone other than Enabling. They have a can-do attitude that led them to create a solution which met our unique requirements.”
Victoria Lytton – Imake
Sage 300 ERP has been highly successful for Imake. The initial implementation went smoothly, with extensive planning and collaboration between Enabling and Imake personnel to ensure this. This experience was repeated with each upgrade and new module. With an international operation, any downtime would be a disaster. “Enabling’s implementation of purchasing customisation was a huge and critical thing for us,” says General Manager, Victoria Lytton. “They also suggested modifications that would make the solution work better, faster, and more efficiently, based upon their long experience with the product.” The solutions developed for New Zealand were easily replicated for the US too, making it possible to have a new operation up and running quickly.
The benefits have been significant. “Preparing our financial reports is more timely and information at the end of the month is available much quicker than before. The third-party Info Explorer module provides important insight into our sales numbers, and easy access to up-to-the-minute data. The Report Runner module, from Orchid, provides a central point for having reports produced. Reporting used to be a clumsy process; we are now able to easily open and access available reports.”
The Oxygen web store, while intended for wholesale customers, has had a side benefit of making product information available to end user customers. It has proven highly successful. By enabling online ordering, processing costs are cut and personnel requirements significantly reduced. It is easy for customers to order efficiently, with photos and reference material for all products the company supplies. The web store is easy to administer too. With direct integration with Sage 300 ERP for inventory, pricing and financials there is no need to import and export data, re-enter information from a separate system, or worry about being out of sync.
The Sage 300 ERP/Sage CRM solution from Enabling provides a sure foundation for Imake’s growth. With many advantages, including faster month end and more insightful reporting, automated and streamlined processes, and an enhanced customer ordering experience backed up by a smart inventory control system, Imake’s expansion into multiple international operations would not possible without such a reliable, stable system.

“The client management system has enabled Pact to be a service leader in a way that we weren’t before. We’re recognised for having IT knowledge and skills, as well as supporting people with disabilities.”
Donald Shand Director of Operations - Pact
Within a short number of clicks, managers and staff now have access to a wide range of client information. It’s a much faster and more accurate way of finding out what is going on. Data can be analysed by site, worker or client, and the system provides performance metrics relating to activities such as turnaround time for clients.
Reporting has improved in accuracy and in timeliness. Data for a key quarterly report required by the Ministry of Health, for example, is directly drawn from the system. It’s saved a huge amount of time.
In the years since deploying the CRM, Pact has periodically introduced modifications to the software in a bid to help users do even more. Shand believes this process of continual improvement will remain, noting, Sage CRM is quite robust in terms of its ability to be adapted.
"I had used Sage 300 ERP at another business and knew in advance that the product was capable of handling the job. We needed a system to manage the operation as a global business. Deadlines are tight and we needed speed and efficiency.”
Bryce Donnell - CFO, Software of Excellence
With five separate companies Software of Excellence needed a system to manage the operation as a global business. The system needed to work within their monthly reporting framework with all management accounts done within five days of the end of the month.
The company has seen rapid growth, with operations springing up in countries around the world. But growth has led to complexity, and the old accounting system was unable to handle the intricacies of multi-branch, multi-currency operations. That’s why they turned to Enabling and its Sage 300 ERP solution for help.
As a growing software business, the rate of change at Software of Excellence has been extraordinary. Over the past three years, companies have been added, parts of the business have been consolidated, and operations have been transformed.
Throughout this period, Sage 300 ERP has continued to perform and meet growing demands, continuing to provide benefits such as:
• Reducing the job of consolidating financial statements from three days to one hour
• Simplification of adding new companies and expanding the system
• Improved speed in producing financial statements.Visit website Download Case Study
“The uptime for the NAV system has been excellent since implementation and Enabling, in conjunction with our project team, managed what could have been a disastrous domain change with no disruption. We’re delighted with the NAV system and the service from Enabling has been excellent,”
Mark Baker – Managing Director Survitec
Survitec needed a single, technically advanced solution that could handle the administration, distribution and service management functions countrywide in a dynamic, growing organisation. They needed a single source of critical information which was rock solid reliable to provide streamlined information flow, control and reporting. The Group had more than 20 operating units using 5 different systems.
What made NAV so compelling was the local support structure, along with the simplicity of the sales process within NAV and the ease of pulling data on customer activity out of the system.
NAV was a solution that is easy to use and customisable, highly scalable to handle growth, providing a great deal of flexibility – with built in accounting, inventory and warehouse, and reporting in a single application that can be tailored closely to an organisation’s requirements. With a Role Tailored Client, this easy user interface provides screen with just the functions each different person needs, combined with the Microsoft look and feel, to simplify training and increase effectiveness.
It was advantageous having Enabling not just implementing the system but also workshopping processes to agree on the best way for Survitec to utilise the best features of NAV. One of the extra benefits from Enabling implementing NAV was streamlining our business processes. The system has proven stable and reliable.

“Our experience in Australia with NAV has been so good, our parent company is standardising on NAV worldwide.” Mark Baker, Managing Director, Survitec

“As we grew, it became apparent that our systems and processes were becoming increasingly labour-intensive, and beginning to hinder our growth. On top of this, the lack of watertight integration between our three systems – website, accounting package and warehouse – was resulting in errors that were becoming difficult to stay on top of.”
Jeremy Brown - Director, Micro Mobility Ltd
Micro Mobility needed a feature rich accounting system that could cope with the expansion of the business, would tightly integrate with their website and their warehousing system, and be easily customised.
After approaching several software providers, then drawing up a short list, Micro Mobility selected Sage 300 ERP from Enabling, who impressed Jeremy with their approach to understanding his issues, ensuring the solution met his requirements in detail, not just offering a generic off the shelf package. "The solution is an integral part of our business now, with the bulk of our customers ordering online.” Customer orders flow directly into Accpac from the website, where they are checked and then sent to the warehouse via EDI for dispatch. When the warehouse ships each order, Accpac is notified via EDI and an invoice generated. No more manual processing, duplicated data entry or double checking. The two-way flow of information means information is always up to date. Invoicing and shipping details, including tracking information, are displayed in the customer’s online account.
Sage 300 offered Micro Mobility a clean integration end-to-end from customer right through to the dispatch of the order, and then back to the Customer again. This means information is keyed only once, thereby reducing human effort, but more importantly reducing the margin for error with:
• Stock Management
• Purchase Ordering, with multiple currencies
• Reporting and Analysis
• Back Office Administration, and
• Customer Relationship Management.Visit website Download Case Study
